MOMA – Exibition though Sep 15, 2008.
11 West 53rd Street, New York, NY 10019, Sixth Floor
I absolutely loved this exhibition. This particular floor demonstrates works related to the films and more of Salvador Dali (1904 – 1089) of various periods (30th, 40th primarily).
Entering into the world of Dali you loose and submerge yourself into the colorful fantasy of a mad man. We saw a cartoon Destino that was done based on Dalis’ drawings along with Walt Disney and it is mesmerizing. It takes you in as a whole and then changes you into something else. As you progress from room to room from painting to painting you sink deeper into the world of a man who saw everything differently, perhaps a tad more colorful, perhaps a tad more paranoid, but nonetheless completely and utterly beautiful and amazing.
If you have a change and you in New York, go check this exhibition for yourself, and if you are my friend let me know I might go for something else, but since we became proud members of MOMA today we can bring our friends for only $5 admission as oppose to $20 general admissions. And if you go trust me this particular exhibition worth more than a $20.
